Our office in Portugal is managed by Paulo Pereira. We have the avialability to track and trace sources of counterfeiting based in Portugal.
In parallel, we have set up a programme with the Portuguese customs authorities, with which we entered into an agreement. Part of the agreement was to provide the Portuguese customs with digital cameras to facilitate the identification process, access to our site with brand information; file applications for protection for companies and the organization of training sessions.
Training sessions have been organized in Lisbon and Porto and we have given Portuguese customs access to our brand identification site. Many applications have been filed since. With a law firm we have agreed on most preferential rates for criminal complaints and its follow up.

The service we can provide our members is the following:

file customs application (included in the membership fee);
put the brand details on the password protected site accessible by customs officers as well as on a CD Rom (included in the membership fee);
organization of customs training sessions (included in the membership fee);
digital images from customs- directly or indirectly through us (included also);
monitoring of the markets and investigative work;
following customs detentions, we file the affidavit to ensure the confiscation of the products (€ 200 per case)
filing criminal complaints through local law firm (€ 200); hearings are not included, will be charged at preferential rate per hour
