SNB-REACT focuses on customs protection. Customs intervention against infringements of industrial property is an extremely cost effective and efficient method of protection against counterfeit goods. In close conjunction with the WCO a customs project has been set up to enhance communication between right owners and customs officers. Next to this SNB-REACT has concluded agreements with customs authorities to provide practical assistance.

The SNB-REACT customs program consists of:

filing customs applications (which is included in the membership fee)
the maintenance of a password protected site for customs officers with brand details; members can update their own information on-line;
the organization of its own training seminars;
the organization of training sessions for the WCOIPR group;
the development of CD ROMS with brand information for customs officers;
the provision of digital cameras to customs ports to facilitate the identification procedure;
the follow up of customs detentions of suspected goods;
the storage, transportation and destruction of counterfeited goods.
