In order to provide its members a facility to follow up standard type of cases in European countries where SNB-REACT has no operational facilities, it has concluded agreements with specialised IP lawfirms. Purpose of these agreements are to allow members a consistent approach to follow up actions initiated by customs or police officers. Taking into account budgetary constraints of our members, we agreed on fixed fees set at a relatively low level.

In Finland, we have such an understanding with the IP law firm Benjon Oy.

The understanding entails the following:
Border measures (Regulation 1383/2003)
First 4 hours of work or
work until the request for criminal investigation, € 350

The activities typically include:
(i) Filing applicable motions under customs procedure
(ii) Arranging samples, maintaining contacts with customs and right holders
(iii) Organizing the destruction of goods
